Patria Rivera at Stories That Bind Festival

Saturday Nov 22nd, 11am-6pm

The Saturday Nov 22nd events (Hart House, University of Toronto, 11am-6pm) will feature a varietry of arts performances, including literary readings by Barry Callaghan, Lien Chao, Flavia Cosma, Anthony De Sa, Jennifer Duncan, Rishma Dunlop, Dae-Tong Huh (publisher of Stories That Bind and Variety Crossings), Al Moritz, Maria Pia, Patria Rivera, Charles Seidlecki, and Priscila Uppal.

The blocks of readings have been scheduled as follows (all will take place in the Great Hall, Hart House, U of T).

11:30-12:15: Jennifer Duncan, Barry Callaghan, Al Moritz
1:00-1:30: Dae-Tong Huh and Priscila Uppal
2:15-2:45: Flavia Cosma and Lien Chao
3:15-4:00: Charles Seidlecki, Rishma Dunlop, and Anthony De Sa
4:45-5:15: Patria Rivera and Maria Pia

In between the readings, there will be various performances (Korean Han Mam Dance, Axe Caporeira, Sandy Macintyre Trio, Aboriginal Spirit Dancers, and Fitzroy Terrors…) as well as some other events. On Sunday at 1pm in the Music Room there will be a screening of “Korea: The Unfinished War” and then a talk with the documentary’s director Brian McKenna.
