Second prize winner of the Eric Hill Award of Poetic Excellence // Apr 2005
“Rare species,” a poem by Frontenac poet Patria Rivera, was recently selected by Erin Moure as the second prize winner of the Eric Hill Award of Poetic Excellence, at a competition held by QWERTY, a literary magazine published by the English Department of the University of New Brunswick. Rivera’s poem will appear in QWERTY’s fall issue.

Weyman Chan’s Before a Blue Sky Moon was awarded the Stephan G. Stephansson Award for best poetry book at the Alberta Book Awards Gala, Saturday May 10 in Edmonton, put on by the Book Publisher’s Association of Alberta and the Writers Guild of Alberta.
