David Bateman
David Bateman was born and raised in Peterborough Ontario. He is still in recovery. He completed his PhD in English Literature, with a specialization in creative writing, at the University of Calgary in 2002. He has taught creative writing, drama, performance and literature at various post-secondary institutions across the country. He is currently teaching at Thompson Rivers University at Kamloops, BC, where he hopes to pursue his first love classical dance, and perform the role of Peaseblossom in a site-specific solo ballet based on a much neglected character from midsummer Nights Dream. He is also a performance artist who frequently presents new work in Canada and the United States.
