Kimmy Beach’s fourth collection, in Cars, was published by Turnstone Press in 2007. She has read across Canada and in the UK. Kimmy was the 2005 International Guest Poet for the Dead Good Poets Society in Liverpool, UK, where she launched her third book, fake Paul, onstage at the Cavern Club in Mathew Street. Her second book, Alarum Within: theatre poems, was longlisted for the Relit Award and has been adapted as a full-length stage play at the University of Toronto (2004) and at Red Deer College (2005). in Cars was studied at the University of Calgary in 2009. In 2008, Kimmy served as the first Writer-In-Residence for the Parkland Regional Library. She’s currently working on three writing projects. Kimmy lives in Red Deer with her husband, Stu.
