Ian LeTourneau
Ian LeTourneau, originally from New Brunswick, has lived in Alberta since 2004. His work is often concerned with nature, environmental devastation and human/non-human interactions. He is very interested in formal experimentation, poetics and literary translation.
His work has appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies, and broadcast on CBC radio. In 2003, a one-act play he co-wrote with his wife was staged in Fredericton, NB. Gaspereau Press published a chapbook of poems entitled, Defining Range, in 2006, and in 2008 Thistledown Press published his first full-length collection, Terminal Moraine.
He is at work on a new collection of poems revolving around the English Interregnum and its metaphorical implications, a collection of short stories and a novel set in Alberta’s centennial year. He also currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of Alberta.
He lives in Athabasca with his wife, son and cat.
